As a cinematographer who loves anamorphic frames and the 2.39 aspect ratio, I got tired of sharing wide stills cropped into a box. I’ve wanted an app that fixes that since 2018: one where I can simply turn my phone and see the full image, as it was meant to be seen. Anamorpixs is a digital photo book for photography lovers, an uninterrupted museum rather than another social feed. Hold your phone upright and you’ll find one timeline. Turn it sideways and a second feed appears, composed for anamorphic and wide frames. Because cinematographers and photographers are forever hunting for the next favorite lens or camera body, I’ve added a search feature. Look up the gear you’re eyeing for your next shoot, see real photographs made with it, and discover the newest addition to your camera bag. We’re here for the love of photography and the passion for beautiful images: to inspire greatness, not to chase social likes. So here we are. Thank you for joining me for Anamorpixs. – Zack
